Aladdin Inside Painting Atelier has more than one hundred artisans nowadays.  We specialize in various kinds of inside-painted decorations and handicrafts which are called ?Chinese Stunt?. Our main products include inside painted crystal balls, inside painted flower vases, inside painted screens, inside painted snuff bottles, agate & shell snuff bottles, Christmas eggs & beads, cloisonne snuff bottles, glass overlay snuff bottles, gyx snuff bottles, porcelain snuff bottles, wooden & bone snuff bottles and other handicrafts which are all well known both at home and abroad.
    "The Snuff Bottle" is the result of combining the Chinese culture with the western culture. Snuff was originally the hobby of the western people. The vessel for snuff is called snuff-box, made of metal. Around the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Snuff was spread to China and the snuff-box was gradually oriental zed and changed into the snuff bottle. The difference between the two is that the former is practical and the latter shows special art to a certain extent. Now tobacco and water pipes have taken the place of the snuff, so the use of the snuff bottle died out and it has become a pure Chinese handicraft.
    The most wonderful thing about inside-painted handicrafts is that the paintings and calligraphic works are all made with a special hook-pen on the inner side of the bottle. It is regarded by emperors and collectors as the art by "ghost´s axe and god´s work", which means superlative craftsmanship.
