Bangladesh Folk Legacy

Bangladesh Folk Legacy is one of the largest craft producing and exporting organizations in Bangladesh. We vow to introduce the world with the rich folk heritage of the country. Our organization was formed to promote the work of Bangladeshi artists by showcasing their traditional craft forms.

Our prime product is the hand stitched decorative embroidery known as Nakshi Kantha. The motifs of the Nakshi Kantha depict religious festivals, folk festivals, marraige ceremonies, lotus, different fishes, snakes, boats, flowers, elephants, umbrellas, trees, wheels etc. We have a wide stock of Nakshi Kantha Quilt, Bed Spread, Wall Hangings, and Cushion Covers. Our other products are Cane and Bamboo Products, Jute Goods, Clay Goods, Straw Goods, Brass Products, Wooden Products, and Decorative Handlooms.

Bangladesh Folk Legacy has been set up for the benefit of traditional craft makers. We are working to empower Bangladeshi crafts people, mostly women working from their homes, by supporting them in their efforts to attain a handful amount to feed their families.
