Sunmax Biotechnology is a medical device company dedicated to the development, manufacturing and commercialization of bio-surgical products. Sunmax Biotechnology´s first product, Sunmax I injectable collagen dermal filler that restores shape to facial wrinkles was approved for use in the EU and Taiwan in 2006.

The company´s core technology is based on ultra pure collagen derived from porcine dermis. When applied in the human body, it is non-allergenic and biocompatible - addressing clearly identified clinical needs in the bio- surgeries. Because it is porcine derived it has advantages over other animal based products, no prion disease transmission.
