USES OF SWALLOW-WORT GIGANTIC Flowers - Dried :

The flowers are digestive, tonic and stomachic ; given internally in small doses, the drug, stimulates the capillaries and acts powerfully upon the skin ; it is , therefore, likely to be useful in elephantiasis and leprosy. The benefit derived from the administration of the flowers in asthma is probably due to their nauseant action. ( Dr.K.C. Bose )

Dried flowering tops grains pounded and boiled with molasses, are given every morning as a remedy for asthma .
